The Canadian Premier Baseball League (CPBL) is excited to announce its expansion in eastern Ontario with the addition of the Ottawa Nepean Canadians (ONC) for the 2024-2025 season. ONC will field teams at the 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U and 18U levels.
ONC is under new leadership, effective November 1st, their day to day operations on both the baseball and business side will be taken over by TJ Burton. TJ is born and raised in Ottawa and has been in professional baseball for 24 years. For the last fourteen years his focus has been youth baseball at the grassroots and high-performance levels with the Toronto Blue Jays. He possesses a strategic skill set in the high-performance space with a direct connection to the league having worked with all our programs directly as Tournament Director of the prestigious Canadian Futures Showcase for over a decade.
ONC has a rich history in Ottawa, spanning 51 years, many alumni have been drafted, played professional baseball, achieved post-secondary success in Canada and the U.S., and represented Canada on the Junior National and Senior National teams. ONC been a fixture in the nation’s capital baseball community and has always competed at a high level across all age groups.
