CPBL Prospect Games Partnership with Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Academy Canadian Futures Showcase

Following a very successful first year of partnership between the Toronto Blue Jays Academy and the CPBL in 2024, the two parties are excited to announce our partnership will extend into 2025 and year two.  

In year one, this partnership saw our players have the opportunity to try-out out for two of the most prestigious events in the country in one place at one time.  This coming spring, players will have the opportunity to again, try-out for the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Academy Canadian Futures Showcase in addition to the CPBL Prospects Game, all in one tryout.  Similar to last year, players will be evaluated for the CPBL Prospects Game by a committee comprised of CPBL executives, MLB Scouts and CPBL Organizational Leaders, while the Toronto Blue Jays Scouting Department will be on hand to evaluate for their Futures Showcase. 

"Our goal in this partnership was to consolidate the process for our players and families. Prior to the 2024 season, our players were asked to attend separate tryouts at different dates, times and locations for each event.  This partnership has helped streamline this process and create a cost savings for families while also maximizing the exposure our players have to more scouts and recruiters.  We are thrilled to carry this strong partnership into year 2 and beyond." - Chris Robinson CPBL President.
